After receiving my rotten pumpkin the size of a softball to begin. it is the earth and is the only one not yet rotten. Why? and how we solve this problem?

Place something under them. I'm using an old ceramic tiles, have left more of a working ground. You can chip or whatever you can find them from the ground, a court, provided that it is completely flat on the floor.
